AGILITY |
Put simply, Agility is a sport where you train your dog to negotiate various obstacles which include jumps, tunnels and see saws etc. When proficient you will then complete a course of between 10 and 20 of these obstacles whilst being timed. Competitions are scheduled most weekends at which you may participate. Basically, the fastest dog to complete the course with the least number of mistakes is the winner. Although your dog must be registered with the Kennel Club to compete these tests are open to all. |

AGILITY: Getting Started Organisation |
In England, unlike many continental countries, any dog, whether it be pedigree or cross breed, may compete in Agility Tests. Hence any dog may be registered for Agility on payment of a once only fee of £7-00 to the Kennel Club. |

What is Agility? |
The one aspect of Agility that finds favour with many is that there is no pressure to achieve any particular level. Train socially with a group of friends, be part of a demonstration team or go all out to win at organised events - the choice is yours. |

Although Agility is meant to be a 'fun' sport for both dog and handler, competition at the top is fierce. |
