Put simply, Agility is a sport where you train your dog to negotiate various obstacles which include jumps, tunnels and see saws etc.

Some of the Obstacles used

In England, unlike many continental countries, any dog, whether it be pedigree or cross breed, may compete in Agility Shows. Hence any dog may be registered on the Kennel Club Activity Register on payment of a once only fee of £12-00 to the Kennel Club.

Although Agility is meant to be a 'fun' sport for both dog and handler, competition at the top is fierce.

The one aspect of Agility the finds favour with many is that there is no pressure to achieve any particular level. Train socially with a group of friends, be part of a demonstration team or go all out to win at organised events - the choice is yours.
